There has always been something about the power of words I find fascinating. I love that a single word, standing alone, can be devoid of meaning, but the right combination of words can become something else entirely, something powerful and capable of evoking unparalleled human emotion. Even so, words are not always enough. When words fall short of conveying the message I want to communicate, I turn to photography.
For as long as I can remember I've kept a camera by my side. As a toddler I ran around with a little plastic blue camera, taking pictures of everything in sight. As I grew up, I traded my plastic sidekick for a series of real cameras. In high school I was the head photographer for the yearbook, which gave me a valid excuse to carry a camera everywhere. Since photography has been a part of my life for so long, choosing a career path was an easy decision for me. Upon graduating high school I had the opportunity to study photography at Utah Valley University, and I enjoyed every chance I had to learn something new.
I love the opportunity photography gives me to tell a story. Contact me so I can help you tell yours!
